TechAquarium Polishes Disney Cruise Acrylic Slides to Perfection
Fresh off a very successful job at the Oceanário de Lisboa, TechAquarium just wrapped up another unusual assignment — this time in Brest, on the northwest tip of France.
Instead of working inside an aquarium, the team was called aboard a Disney cruise liner to polish the long acrylic tubes that carry guests through the ship’s water slides.
Anyone who has been on a cruise knows these ships offer just about everything: discos, shops, great food, pools, and — of course — a network of slides twisting high above the decks. Our job was to make sure those clear acrylic tunnels looked flawless. Using our signature silent, residue-free polishing system, the team spent hours restoring every inch of tubing until the surfaces looked better than the day they were manufactured.
It was a different kind of mission, but exactly the kind of challenge we enjoy. And with this job complete, the team is already gearing up for the next adventure — a visit to Antwerp Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest and most respected zoological parks. Updates coming soon!
